Our Sessions
Our 1-hour sessions are compromised of a variety of specialized activities, focusing on whole child development. We provide literacy, math, science, and physical activities, with different ones for each age/developmental level.
Elementary level children are our main focus, but we always provide activities for any younger or older children that decide to join. Parents/guardians are also welcome to join, whether that is just watching or getting involved with the children!
Shaler-North Hills Library
Our first session was hosted at the Shaler-North Hills Library. We started with a small whole group where we read "Madeline Finn and the Library Dog," then the children split up to other activities including a phonemic awareness letter recognition game, library coloring worksheets, and an inquiry based science activity.

This was our second session. The Hearth Home provides support services and housing to those who are survivors of domestic violence or other trauma. We were there with other volunteers and occupational therapists, who also had activities for the children.
Here, we read the "Lost in the Library" (Josh Funk) and provided other activities including thank you cards, "make your own comic", and puppets. Together, we worked with the children to regulate their energy and emotions.
